Premiere at the National Weather Center, Norman, Okla. April 28, 2016.
Since the successful premiere in Norman on April 28, the process of producing DVD and Blu Ray discs has been admittedly sluggish at best. Copies originally slated to ship out to all who participated and/or supported the film in some way have been delayed after two on-screen typos were brought to my attention at the premiere. Those have been fixed, however, the 100 previous copies which were ready to ship, are now being reproduced, typo free, but affecting a bit of the original disc production budget.
Thanks entirely to the generosity of project supporter Mark Blue, the production of DVD and Blu Ray disc duplication, along with other materials required for the limited edition hard-copy releases of The Storm Chasing Anthology became a reality in mid-April. Ryan Webber of Grand Rapids, Michigan based Bright Idea Communications also played an integral role in authoring and re-mastering the film to a 1080p Blu Ray format.
Beyond what will eventually ship out, and any limited back stock, additional costs associated with DVD and Blu Ray duplication and materials greatly outweigh my ability to afford or continue to produce the film on those formats. The next step will be bringing the film online. This will likely take place in the early Fall 2016.
